Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 5, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Radio Grey mobile application (published on Google Play and the App Store under the package identifier com.radiogrey.app) and to the Radio Grey website at radiogrey.online.

1. Data Controller

Radio Grey — the developer listed for the Radio Grey application on Google Play and the App Store — is the data controller and is committed to protecting your personal data and privacy.

Contact Information:

Developer: Radio Grey

Email: [email protected]

Website: radiogrey.online

2. Data We Collect and Process

Radio Grey operates on a minimal data collection principle. There is no user registration and no account system.

We do not collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
  • Your contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera data
  • Your precise or approximate location
  • Advertising identifiers — the application contains no advertising and no analytics SDK

Stored only on your device:

  • In-app preferences such as volume level. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Processed automatically when you connect:

  • Delivering an audio stream, track information and artwork over the internet technically requires your device to contact our providers. In doing so, those providers receive your IP address, your device user-agent and the time of the request.
  • Under GDPR and KVKK an IP address may constitute personal data. We do not use this information to identify you, we do not build user profiles from it, and we do not combine it with any other data.
  • If you install the application from Google Play or the App Store, those platforms may collect installation, crash and diagnostic data under their own privacy policies. This is outside our control and we receive only aggregated, non-identifying reports.

3. Data Usage

The minimal data described above is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Providing uninterrupted radio broadcast streaming
  • Displaying currently playing track information and artwork
  • Delivering application updates and diagnosing technical faults

We do not sell, rent or trade any data. We do not use data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

The application relies on the following third-party services. For each, the data that service receives is listed explicitly:

  • Fastcast4u — radio streaming infrastructure and track information. Receives: IP address, user-agent, request timestamp.
  • Unsplash — default album artwork images. Receives: IP address, user-agent, request timestamp.
  • Expo (EAS Update) — delivery of application updates. Receives: application version, platform and general device information. No personal identifiers.
  • Spotify — only if you choose to tap a track link. Receives: standard web request data at the moment you open the link. No data is sent to Spotify unless you take that action.
  • Google Play / Apple App Store — application distribution, crash and diagnostic reporting, governed by their own privacy policies.

These services process data under their own privacy policies, and Radio Grey is not responsible for their independent data processing practices. Some of these providers are located outside Türkiye and the European Economic Area, which means the technical data described above may be transferred abroad as a necessary part of delivering the service.

5. Music Licenses and Copyright

Radio Grey holds all necessary licenses for the music content it broadcasts:

  • MSG (Music Owners Group Professional Association): Music composition rights
  • MÜYAP (Phonogram Producers Professional Association): Phonogram and performance rights

All broadcast content is provided under legal licensing agreements.

6. Data Security

Radio Grey implements the following technical and administrative security measures:

  • All connections between the application and our providers use HTTPS encryption
  • A minimal data collection principle — data that is never collected cannot be breached
  • No user database: we operate no server that stores personal data about our listeners
  • Preferences are stored locally on your device, within the sandbox the operating system provides for the application

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We do not operate a user database, so there is no personal data held by Radio Grey to retain. Retention periods for the limited data described in this policy are as follows:

  • On-device preferences (volume and similar settings): retained on your device until you clear the application's data or uninstall it. Uninstalling the application deletes this data immediately and completely. No action on our side is required or possible, because we never receive it.
  • Server access logs held by our providers (Fastcast4u, Unsplash, Expo): retained by those providers under their own retention schedules, typically for a short period for security, abuse prevention and traffic measurement purposes. We do not request, download, store or use these logs to identify individual listeners.
  • Crash and diagnostic reports: retained by Google Play and Apple under their respective policies. We access only aggregated reports, which contain no personal identifiers.
  • Correspondence you send us: if you email us, we keep that email only as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than 12 months, after which it is deleted.

How to request deletion: because we hold no account data, the fastest and most complete way to delete everything associated with your use of the application is to uninstall it. If you nonetheless wish to make a deletion or access request, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Your Rights Under KVKK and GDPR

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK — Law No. 6698) and the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is being processed
  • Request information regarding your personal data if it has been processed
  • Learn the purpose of personal data processing and whether it is used accordingly
  • Know third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad
  • Request correction of incomplete or incorrect personal data
  • Request erasure or destruction of your personal data
  • Object to processing and request restriction of processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK Kurulu) or your local data protection supervisory authority

Note: because Radio Grey holds no account and no user database, in most cases we will have no personal data about you to access, correct, export or erase. Where that is the case we will tell you so in our response. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

9. Cookies and Tracking

The Radio Grey mobile application does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or any analytics or tracking technologies. The website uses only technically necessary local storage features, for remembering preferences such as volume level. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies on the website.

10. Children's Privacy

Radio Grey is a general-audience electronic music streaming service. It is not directed at children, and it is not designed or marketed primarily for children. Please refer to the age rating shown on the Google Play and App Store listings for the application.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us — for example by sending us an email — contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

11. Policy Updates

This privacy policy may be updated as necessary. Any changes will be published on this page and reflected in the “Last Updated” date at the top. In the case of significant changes affecting how your data is handled, we will additionally note the change in the application's store listing release notes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
